Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or equivalent experience not required but relevant certifications are a plus.
• Experience in the transportation industry and safety programs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in incident reporting and safety software.

Responsibilities

• Track all safety data and send updates to management (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
• Prepare, communicate and conduct regular safety training sessions (monthly, quarterly).
• Mentor and coach drivers following safety protocols.
• Visit driver delivery sites to conduct safety audits on drivers, equipment and store facilities.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards.
• Lead ongoing Smith System training and yearly recertification.
• Review accident file contents for accuracy and retraining needs.
• Input all reports into Hogan Safety software.
