Danbury Hospital is seeking a Transport Services Coordinator to oversee patient and messenger transport activities and safety programs. The role includes leading a team, coordinating procedures, and implementing improvements to daily operations.

Responsibilities include supervising transport staff, maintaining equipment, and generating weekly performance reports while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Three years minimum experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and motivate transport staff and students as needed.
• Oversee 300–350 patient and messenger service activities daily.
• Assist supervisor with equipment repair and replacement decisions.
• Ensure transportation equipment is cleaned and maintained.
• Communicate effectively with unit staff, other departments, patients and families.
• Develop and monitor daily operation data and generate reports.
• Contribute to policy development and training as required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
