Job Summary

Responsible for the overall coordination of planning, implementing, and enforcing all safety programs to ensure compliance with corporate and customer expectations.

Job Duties

  • Keep all companies within federal compliance. Train safety employees on federal compliance as well as our drivers and office employees.
  • Oversee driver qualifications for compliance, hours of service, & equipment compliance for all companies to meet and exceed federal criteria including new hire driver approvals.
  • Mange safety meeting presentation literature and be actively involved with all company's safety meeting presentations.
  • Promote safety awareness, ensure safety training, enforce safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety programs that ensure compliance with the Safety programs, customer expectations.
  • Review internal safety policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate; conduct hazard and risk assessments and develop new or, where necessary, make recommendations to senior management to amend safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School or Equivalent
  • Transportation/Safety (federal level) knowledge
  • Knowledge of FMCSA regulations
  • Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to manage employees
