Job Description

Job Summary

Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, the Safety Associate collaborates with the healthcare team to provide remote support for patients requiring additional monitoring or assistance. The role promotes quality patient care, comfort, and safety.

Essential Functions

• Interact professionally with co-workers, visitors, and staff, reflecting Jefferson's values.
• Identify and support patients and their families, respecting their preferences, needs, and cultural backgrounds.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Provide remote observation for patient safety.
• Report any changes in patient condition or behavior promptly.
• Complete necessary documentation and reports.
• Serve patients across a range of ages, from pediatric to elderly, understanding developmental and functional differences.

Minimum Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior related experience is a plus.

Certifications and Licenses

CPR Certification, completion of Patient/Sitter Companion Program, and/or De-Escalation class are preferred.
