M&D Transportation, LLC is seeking a Transportation Safety Coordinator to drive safety excellence across our fleet, drivers, and logistics operations. You will implement policies, monitor safety data, and lead training to ensure compliance and on‑time deliveries.

The role requires hands‑on inspections, system oversight with Samsara, and collaboration with multiple teams to embed safety into every decision and action.

Competenze

• 3–5 years of fleet safety or logistics experience with knowledge of FMCSRs and OSHA regulations.
• Hands‑on experience with safety monitoring systems such as Samsara and SambaSafety is a plus.
• Proven ability to build rapport with drivers, managers, and cross‑functional teams to influence safe practices.
• Relevant experience or education aligned with the responsibilities of this role.

• Lead post-incident investigations, document findings, and drive corrective action plans through to completion.

About The Role

As a Transportation Safety Coordinator, you’ll be the driving force behind keeping our fleet, drivers, and logistics operating at the highest safety standards. You’ll combine hands‑on inspections, real‑time monitoring, and proactive training to make sure our drivers get home safe, and our deliveries arrive on time. You’ll partner closely with other areas of our operations to make safety our first instinct.

What You’ll Do

Work Environment

• Primarily office-based with regular time spent on-site at distribution hubs, in the yard, and alongside drivers.
• 10-15% overnight travel to support safety initiatives across locations.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast‑paced, multi-tasking environment while maintaining attention to detail.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

The Pay Range For This Role Is

22 - 28 USD per hour(9 - LA_Shreveport)
