Job summary

Edward Don & Company in Woodridge, IL is seeking a Warehouse/Logistics Associate to manage overages, shortages, and damages noted at receipt, coordinate with carriers, and resolve discrepancies.

You will maintain OSD records, provide reporting, and support cross-functional teams in loss prevention and claims resolution. A High School diploma and 1–2+ years in logistics are required; SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• 1 to 2+ years of warehouse/distribution center or transportation/logistics experience; strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word).
• Experience with SAP and fleet routing software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine value of over, short, or damaged product at receipt and collaborate with Transportation Team to identify at-fault parties for damage claims.
• Identify warehouse receipt discrepancies and resolve issues to prevent loss of compensation for damaged or short product.
• Research and respond to inquiries from accounting and corporate claims about discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all OSDs noted at receipt and provide reporting as needed.
• Schedule pickup appointments with carriers and provide required documentation to all parties.
• Create and waive shipments to maintain tracking of returns.
• Identify incomplete or incorrect OSDs and forward to operations with backup documents.
• Provide cross-department support to improve processes related to crossdocking and claims.
• Research and approve or deny DC-related detention requests.
• Provide backup for processing unbilled (add on) requests.
• Research DC or carrier issues and prepare reports for communication to the DC, carrier, or management.
• Generate and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc reports as required.
• Serve as back up for the Transportation Router as needed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities (50%)

Operational & Customer Support Duties (30%)

• Identify incomplete or incorrect OSDs, assemble backup documents, and forward to the operations department for follow up.
• Provide assistance to other departments to improve processes and/or resolve issues related to crossdocking, supplier claims, and other areas as needed or requested.
• Research and approve or deny DC related detention requests.
• Provide back up for processing unbilled (add on) requests.

Additional Duties (20%)

• Research DC or carrier issues and prepare reports for communication to the DC, carrier, management or other departments as needed.
• Generate and distribute both scheduled and ad-hoc reports as required
• Serve as the back up for the Transportation Router as needed or requested.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• High school diploma or GED; 1 to 2+ years of warehouse/distribution center or transportation/logistics related experience. Must have strong attention to details and accuracy and intermediate knowledge of and experience with the use of Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word). Must work independently with minimal supervision and be self-motivated and have the ability to prioritize work tasks in a fast paced environment. Strong math and problem solving skills. (Required)
• Greater than 3 years of experience in a warehouse/distribution center or logistics/supply chain environment. Previous experience using SAP, fleet routing software. (Preferred)
