Job description

About The Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Transportation Project Manager to join our Bay Area team. In this role, you will align and execute strategic transportation priorities, utilizing established tools, processes, and industry best practices. You will serve as the primary point of contact for transportation initiatives, coordinating with cross-functional teams and reviewing design packages to optimize the workplace experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Promote and encourage the reduction of single-occupancy vehicles (SOV) by supporting public transit, carpooling, biking, walking, and other alternative commuting options.
  • Ensure global development projects conform to established transportation standards across all levels of complexity.
  • Maintain and update regional project guide standards and complete Project-Specific Briefs (PSBs) to align with evolving standards.
  • Assist in the delivery of a diverse portfolio, including regional transportation-infrastructure initiatives and distributed office projects (e.g., bike rooms, parking facilities, EV charging stations, and site circulation improvements) through partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and provide critical feedback on project design packages throughout the concept, schematic, design development, and construction phases.
  • Coordinate site walk activities, ensure contractor adherence to transportation design requirements, and partner with internal stakeholders to finalize "fit-up" requirements prior to project delivery.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience specifically within transportation, workplace construction, corporate logistics, or project coordination.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) certification is highly preferred and will be considered a significant asset.
  • Sophisticated knowledge of financial terms and principles. You must be comfortable calculating figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions, as well as conducting complex financial analysis. You will be responsible for forecasting and preparing detailed budgets, so demonstrated proficiency in these areas is essential.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to drive desired project outcomes. This includes the ability to write reports, manuals, and articles with a distinctive style, as well as the capacity to deliver persuasive presentations on sophisticated topics to various audiences, including public groups and executive leadership. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills are required to navigate the complexities of our stakeholder environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-faceted transportation projects while coordinating effectively across diverse internal departments.
  • Proven ability to manage, track, and report on project performance using data-driven metrics. You must be skilled in reviewing technical, schematic, and construction documents to ensure all project deliverables remain consistent with established design standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Workspace products.
