Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Project Manager in the Roanoke area to lead multidisciplinary teams through project lifecycles. The role focuses on budgets, schedules, staffing, client relations, and deliverables across transportation projects.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 7+ years of related experience, and a minimum of 2 years PM experience. A PE license is required or recognized. HDR is an employee-owned company offering a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• At least 2 years of project management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required or recognized by the licensing board.
• MS Office and MS Project experience required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams across the project lifecycle.
• Develop project budgets, schedules, and staffing plans; manage invoices.
• Produce and coordinate multiple projects concurrently.
• Maintain client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
• Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
• Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle to meet deadlines.
• Track financials and adjust work effort to stay within budget and schedule.
• Work with Accounting, Operations, and Business leadership for periodic reviews.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and perform other duties as needed.
