Job summary

Pennoni Associates Inc. is seeking a Project Manager/Engineer to work at our Haddon Heights, NJ office to lead transportation and infrastructure projects from planning through construction support.

The role requires coordination with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders, plus proposal development and team leadership. A PE license is preferred, with strong knowledge of NJDOT criteria and 3D modeling tools.

Qualifications

• Experience/knowledge of NJDOT and county design criteria.
• Experience leading and developing proposals.
• Ability to plan, budget, and schedule preparation on all phases of an engineering design project using engineering principles.
• Ability to work independently or with teams.
• Experience working with clients, and teaming partners.
• Knowledge of engineering software, including ORD and 3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, utility companies, and other project stakeholders throughout project development.
• Serve as the primary client contact and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for additional services.
• Lead proposal development efforts, including preparation of technical approaches, scope of services, fee estimates, and project schedules.
• Mentor, supervise, and develop engineering staff by assigning work, providing technical guidance, and supporting professional growth.
• Manage/oversee the development of infrastructure projects (scope, schedule, and budget), which include client coordination for local, state and federal agencies.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams in the planning, design, permitting, and construction support phases of transportation projects.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing requirements, and overall project performance to ensure successful delivery.
• Coordinating and working with internal staff to perform field work needed, design calculations, plan preparation, specifications, quantity calculations, and submission to various clients.
• Responsible for the overall development projects - supervise and monitor project that could include the development of Transportation geometry design, Highway Occupancy preparation and submissions, traffic design cross section, grading plans, Erosion sediment control, Hydrology and drainage calculations.
• Involvement with developing NJ county infrastructure projects.
• Participate in project interviews, presentations, and marketing efforts to secure new business opportunities.
