Arya Consultants, Inc. is hiring a Transportation Project Manager who has significant experience in Program/Project Management and Contract Management of transportation projects with state and local government agencies. This is an on-site position based in Baltimore, MD.
The individual will be responsible for leading and managing contracts and tasks for large-scale transportation projects across their lifecycle. The day-to-day tasks include overseeing project timelines and budgets, coordinating teams and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards, and identifying potential risks to address proactively.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland is required. Do not apply if you don't have an MD PE.
- CCM, PMP or PgMP is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a U.S. accredited program is required.
- 10+ year of experience of program and contract management
- Excellent business development and marketing skills
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Contract & Task Order Management
- Develop task order proposals including scope, level of effort, staffing, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Manage simultaneous complex transportation-related tasks
- Ensure all work complies with MDOT/AASHTO/FHWA standards.
Program Oversight & Client Coordination
- Lead multiple and complex transportation projects and ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Serve as principal interface with clients, project managers, and functional divisions.
- Provide strategic program guidance, prioritization, and resource management.
- Coordinate Key Staff, SMEs, subcontractors, and on-site personnel.
- Oversee budgeting, invoicing, progress reporting, and financial controls.
- Ensure timely, accurate monthly invoices and client‑required progress reports.
- Track contract expenditures, task‑level burn rates, and schedule performance.
- Ensure compliance with all MBE/VSBE requirements.
Quality, Compliance & Documentation
- Implement contract‑level QA/QC procedures for all deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to client's contract requirements, reporting standards, and documentation protocols.
- Support audits, reviews, and compliance checks.
Business Development
- Lead business development tasks such as proposal development
- Manage clients and meet with them regularly to understand and address their needs
- Build new connections and relationships with other engineering firms and clients
- Attend events to represent Arya
Compensation and Benefits
Expected Hourly Salary: $75-$95
