Please note that this position will not be available until January 2027.Transportation Project Manager position leads complex transportation infrastructure projects from planning through construction, coordinating stakeholders, managing budgets, contracts, and procurement, and ensuring projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Transportation Project Manager will oversee the design, development, and execution of transportation projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and processes. This position will be crucial in right-of-way acquisition, utility coordination, and collaboration with consultants, contractors, and government agencies to successfully deliver public works projects.
Bachelor's Degree in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) or related field and one (1) to three (3) years of progressively responsible project management experience or any equivalent combination of education or experience to meet the above stated requirements.
Familiarity with GDOT Publications such as the Design Policy Manual, GDOT LAP Manual, and GDOT ROW Manual.
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Essential functions of this position continuously require the ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing); operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copier, and printer. Incumbents must continuously be able to think analytically; handle stress and emotion, concentrate on tasks, remember names and other details; examine and observe details; make decisions, and adjust to change.
