Job summary

TYPSA, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead transportation projects, oversee budgets and schedules, and mentor project managers.

The role requires coordinating with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery and compliance with contractual requirements. The ideal candidate has a BSCE in Civil Engineering, 10+ years of transportation PM experience, and PE licensure or equivalent international registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years of transportation project management experience.
• Post-graduate degree and registration with the Spanish Civil Engineer Association or equivalent international registration; PE exam within one year or already passed.
• Registered Professional Engineer in the United States preferred.
• DOT and municipality project experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.
• Ability to manage projects, develop work, and provide excellent client service.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to define scopes of work and proposals.
• Prepare fee proposals for civil engineering design and construction observation.
• Develop external project schedule with client.
• Coordinate with client, subconsultants, and project team.
• Develop Work Plan and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Secure resource commitments with group leaders.
• Monitor schedule changes and resource needs.
• Manage projects to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Lead complex projects and support large projects.
• Maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
• Contribute to strategic planning and development.
• Demonstrate clear communication and meetings coordination.
• Mentor Project Managers.
