Spicer Group is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Transportation Service Line in Georgia. The role focuses on designing infrastructure for highways and roads, coordinating with design teams, and ensuring projects meet timelines and budgets.

The engineer will leverage AutoCAD/Civil 3D and MicroStation/ORD while visiting sites and supporting project lifecycle activities. The position emphasizes technical excellence, collaboration with clients, and the ability to produce accurate cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) license within a year of hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; capable of leading teams and collaborating with clients.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MicroStation/ORD, and MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to design and development of transportation projects (highways, roads, related infrastructure).
• Coordinate with design teams to prepare plans, specifications, and calculations.
• Develop project designs using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and MicroStation/ORD.
• Apply transportation design knowledge to create efficient solutions.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and compliance.
• Provide guidance to engineers, technicians, and project staff.
• Prepare feasibility studies and project cost estimates.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and engineers to meet project objectives.
• Attend client and project meetings and support scheduling and budgeting.
• Assist marketing with proposal generation.
