Job summary

Forsgren Associates is seeking a Transportation Engineer to prepare engineering documentation, manage project budgets, and coordinate with agencies. Ideal candidates should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering, PE registration or the ability to obtain it within six months, and experience in transportation facility design.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Civil Engineering experience.
• Experience in designing transportation facilities for State transportation departments & local jurisdictions.
• Ability to obtain PE registration in Idaho within 6 months.

Your Responsibilities as a Transportation Engineer:

• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies for permitting compliance
• Prepare budgets and schedules for projects
• Support clients with services during bidding, contracting, and construction
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets
• Provide technical guidance and quality control

What we’re looking for:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field)
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Idaho (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• 3+ years of Civil Engineering experience
• Experience in designing transportation facilities for State transportation departments & local jurisdictions
• Experience with ITD’s procedures and requirements
• Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation OpenRoads, and Geopak design software
