Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer with 3+ years of experience in Foxborough, MA.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare designs, specifications, or estimates for transportation facilities.
• Plan modifications of existing streets, highways, or freeways to improve traffic flow.
• Opportunity with a variety of projects including roadway design along municipal and state highways, intersection improvements such as roundabouts and signalized intersections, streetscape, multi-use pathways, ADA enhancements, bridge projects, and drainage improvement projects
• Be flexible in terms of handling multiple and wide range of assignments
• Responsible for carrying out all design tasks of a project including roadway geometry and plans, estimates, technical specifications, and reports while adhering to the project scope, budget, and schedule
• Direct contact with Clients, supporting the Project Manager with response to correspondence and meeting preparation, attendance, and presentations
• Opportunity to present at public information meetings and municipal meetings (i.e. inland wetlands)
• Ensures the quality, accuracy, timeliness, profitability, and completeness of all projects completed by him/her, and ensures compliance with established standards, procedures, codes, regulations, and client expectations
• Assists the Utility Manager and Project Managers to organize, schedule, direct and adequately staff each project
• Prepares and reviews engineering reports and/or construction documents including technical, quality and loss prevention aspects
• Active involvement with professional organizations such as CSCE, ACEC, ITE, WTS, etc. is encouraged to enhance relationships with peers.
• Part-time local telecommuting from home is permitted.
• 10% domestic travel to work sites is required.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) + 5 years of relevant experience OR
• Master of Science in Civil or Transportation Engineering (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) + 3 years of relevant experience
• 3 years of experience with Revit is required.
• Professional Engineer License in Massachusetts is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and organization and time management skills required.
