Southeastern Engineering in Atlanta, GA seeks a Project Manager Assistant to support the Transportation Department and assist the Program Manager and Project Manager on GDOT program management contracts. Full-time role with day shift and a four-year degree preferred.

The position involves assisting with roadway/bridge design, planning, environmental tasks, report preparation, bidding, and coordination with city, state, and county agencies. Strong MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifikationen

• Four (4) year college degree, preferably in the field of engineering.
• May be required to have additional experience for some assignments.
• Transportation project experience is preferred but not required.

Aufgaben

• Assist the PM in managing consultant’s designing transportation projects including but not limited to roadway design, bridge design, transportation planning, and environmental.
• Assist the PM in managing the consultant's preparation of engineering reports, plans and specifications for major and minor projects.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing preliminary and final plans and technical specifications, contract documents and estimates.
• Assist in contract bidding and administration as needed.
• Assist in guiding projects through the client’s process with coordination of City, State, County officials and other agencies.
• Assist in coordinating projects with clients, contractors, consultants and firm staff.
• Assist in communicating with project team, client reps, review agencies and others.
• Assist in meeting GDOT’s and client's goals regarding reporting metrics for the program.
• Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
• Ability to complete multiple tasks such as letters, memos, cost estimates and project correspondence.
• Ability to learn Georgia Department of Transportation policies and procedures.
• Ability to learn standard operations, policies and procedures of a firm, preferably within the A/E industry.
• Ability to operate office equipment such as personal computers, calculators, and copiers.
• Skill in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
• Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• Ability to demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships.
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks without immediate and constant supervision.
