Job summary

STV is seeking a Project Controls Engineer for the Transportation South division to provide administrative, financial, and technical support across WMATA JDAC projects. The role emphasizes cost control, budget preparation, and financial reporting under the WMATA contract.

The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least five years of project controls experience in a fast-paced engineering environment, with strong communication and proficiency in Procore, PeopleSoft,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Controls, preferably in a cost management role.
Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong technical writing abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Oracle PeopleSoft and Procore.

Responsibilities

Maintain familiarity with the JDAC Adjacent Construction Project Manual and procedures.
Update and manage project data in Procore and upload relevant documents.
Generate and analyze bi-weekly labor reports with PMs to address unauthorized charges.
Prepare monthly expenditure reports and ensure budget tracking for JDAC projects.
Coordinate with WMATA Accounting for invoice submissions and financial forecasts.
Assist JDAC Construction Engineers with cost estimates and forecasts.
