Job summary

The Wood County Human Services Department seeks a Transportation Coordinator to organize daily bus routes, schedule driver coverage, and respond to public inquiries. You will ensure accurate record-keeping, coordinate volunteers, and support grant reporting for transportation programs.

Qualifications include an Associate degree and four years in transportation or customer service, plus strong computer and communication skills. Travel to various sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; four years of transportation or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Proficiency with basic office software and the ability to learn updates and changes as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily bus routes and driver schedules; manage vacation coverage and driver liaison.
• Respond to public transportation inquiries, assess needs, determine eligibility, and arrange services.
• Maintain ridership and financial records; prepare monthly/annual reports for transportation grants.
• Coordinate volunteer drivers and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Assist with grant writing, budget development, and program presentations.
