Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Process Quality Manager (PQM) – Transportation to lead strategic planning, budgeting, and KPI-driven insights for the transportation network.

The role focuses on cost efficiency, service improvement, and cross-functional collaboration with HR and Operations to align staffing and budgeted P&L targets. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 5+ years in operations/logistics/transport preferred.
• Strong financial understanding including P&L management.
• Advanced analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; BI tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation strategic planning including forecasting, budgeting, peak planning, and capacity modeling.
• Own transportation reporting: labor, headcount, service metrics, cost performance.
• Provide P&L variance analysis and data-driven insights.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement to optimize cost, service and efficiency.
• Partner with Transportation leadership to remove barriers and improve performance.
• Support network changes including startups, transitions and routing or volume shifts.
• Develop KPI scorecards and analyze trends for actionable recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and audits.
• Conduct audits, identify root causes, implement corrective actions.
• Partner with HR and Operations on staffing plans.
• Support onboarding coordination and expense management aligned to budget and P&L.
• Collaborate with PQM peers to standardize best practices across regions.
• Travel Up to 25%.

Position Overview

The Process Quality Manager (PQM) – Transportation is responsible for providing

analytical, financial, and strategic planning support to transportation operations. This role

drives cost visibility, operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement

across the transportation network, while partnering closely with Transportation,

Operations, and HR leadership.

Job Description

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field preferred

• 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or transportation environment preferred.

• Strong understanding of financial concepts including P&L management and cost drivers.

• Advanced analytical skills with ability to interpret data and identify trends.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Experience in SQL, PowerBI, Qlikview, Tableau or other BI tools a plus.

• Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to influence cross-functional partners.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with transportation operations or network planning preferred.
