Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an intern to join our Transportation Advisory Services Team in the United States. You will help deliver integrated strategic communications products and services to transportation clients, including DOTs and planning agencies.

The role involves content creation for websites, emails, social media, and presentations, plus meeting management. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Planning-related bachelor’s or master’s program with enthusiasm, initiative, and strong writing

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Planning or a related field.
• Preferred: background in transportation, public policy, or related disciplines.
• Experience with content creation and written communication is valued.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of integrated strategic communications products for transportation clients (DOTs, authorities, planning agencies).
• Assist in content creation for websites, emails, social media, videos, and presentations.
• Help craft collateral explaining technical content for diverse audiences.
• Support meeting management (task forces, client events) and travel coordination as needed.
