Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 in Shelby County, Sidney, OH, is seeking an civil engineer to review and design simple highway plans, perform traffic studies, and conduct field inspections.

The role includes preparing reports, attending public meetings, responding to inquiries, and monitoring progress for status reports. Full-time, on-site position with benefits and pension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; Accepted for Basic Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (EIT exam) by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors.

Responsabilités

• Review & design simple plans for proposed highway construction projects in the Planning & Programs Office.
• Performs traffic engineering studies (e.g., safety, speed, capacity, parking, corridor, developer, fatal, signal, permit, etc.).
• Performs field inspections to analyze physical conditions and collect data.
• Prepares work orders.
• Prepares reports, plans and exhibits for public meetings & attends public meetings.
• Respond to written inquiries from the public and governmental officials.
• Monitors and updates progress for status reports (e.g., safety annual work plan).
