Job summary

HNTB's Downtown Los Angeles office is seeking a Transportation Planning Intern for Summer 2027. This internship is usually part-time, temporary, or co-op, and offers hands-on experience supporting project teams on transportation planning tasks.

You will assist with research, data collection, graphics, and reports while enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. Visa sponsorship is not available; relocation is not provided; pay ranges from $24.23 to $36.34 per hour in the Los Angeles area.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering, Urban & Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Interest in infrastructure and transportation.

The approximate pay range for Los Angeles Metro Area and Orange County, CA is $24.23 - $36.34. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state..
