Responsibilities

• Network & Route Optimization: Plan efficient multi-stop delivery and pickup routes to cut fuel costs and transit times.
• Terminal & Dock Management: Supervise cross-dock loading, freight sorting, and warehouse workflow to prevent bottlenecks.
• Staff & Fleet Leadership: Direct drivers, dock workers, dispatchers, and shift supervisors.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) and OSHA safety rules.
• Budget & Cost Control: Manage operational expenses, track KPIs (like on-time delivery rates), and negotiate carrier rates.
