Giant Food is seeking a Supervisor II - Transportation to lead the dispatch and driver team at our Jessup distribution operations. You will oversee routing, safety, and performance, ensuring timely deliveries and regulatory compliance across shifts.

With a focus on continuous improvement, you will coach drivers, optimize daily routes, and collaborate with leadership to meet operational targets while maintaining a safe, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience in logistics and distribution operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and optimize daily customer delivery routes and assign drivers.
• Ensure timely vehicle dispatch from staging docks.
• Maintain DOT regulatory and company policy compliance.
• Troubleshoot operational issues to ensure on-time resolutions.
• Oversee loading and dispatching of trailers from Jessup and York DCs.
• Manage fleet drivers to performance and safety standards via on-road observations.
• Daily management of driver metrics including safety and route productivity; coach team.
• Coordinate with Transportation Manager on key metrics and shifts issues.
