Job summary

ODW Logistics in Ohio is seeking a Transportation Operations Manager to oversee safety, customer relations, and P&L, while guiding staff development and improvement projects.

You will lead dispatch using KALARIS and TMW, monitor HOS via Samsara ELD, and collaborate with Billing to ensure accurate invoicing and timely settlements.

The role requires 3–5+ years of management experience, a bachelor's in business/logistics, and strong knowledge of warehouse management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations or equivalent education/work experience.
• 3–5+ years of management/supervisor experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Expert knowledge of warehouse management systems.
• Prior P&L exposure and transportation experience.
• Knowledge in CDL A rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the business development process in RFQ responses, including solution concepts and design.
• Manages, coordinates, and implements cost – effective operational solutions to continuously improve efficiency and enhance service levels and quality.
• Maximizes productivity, quality, and service throughout operations by utilizing best practice techniques in facilities layout, methods, material handling concepts, technological enhancements, and measurements.
• Collaborate with internal Billing Department for reviewing weekly invoices and submit billing to customer.
• Creates, coordinates, monitors, and measures business plan objectives vs. actual results and reports to Executive Management and/or clients as required.
• Dispatching through KALARIS & TMW Software.
• Monitor drivers HOS through Samsara ELD systems.
• Dispatching through KALARIS & TMW Software.
• Performs driver scheduling, dispatching and load planning duties for company local, city and spotting drivers.

Position Summary

The Transportation Operations Manager owns the responsibility for employee safety, customer relations, operational oversight, business metrics, staff development support and P&L. They are involved in business development and contracts, along with team leadership initiatives and improvement projects.

Essential Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience

• 3 – 5+ years of management/supervisor experience preferred
• Previous experience with staff development, facility layout, multi-shift operations, project management and inventory management preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations or equivalent education/work experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools preferred
• Expert knowledge of warehouse management systems preferred
• Prior P&L exposure and transportation experience preferred
• Knowledge in CDL A rules and regulations.
