Qualifications

• Prior P&L exposure and transportation experience preferred.
• Knowledge in CDL A rules and regulations.

• Coordinate and implement cost-effective operational improvements to boost efficiency and service quality.
• Maximize productivity and service using best-practice layouts, methods, material handling and tech.
• Collaborate with Billing to review weekly invoices and bill customers.
• Develop and monitor business plans and report to executives or clients.
• Dispatching using KALARIS & TMW Software.
• Monitor driver HOS via Samsara ELD systems.
• Schedule dispatch and load planning for local, city and spotting drivers.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Transportation Operations Manager owns the responsibility for employee safety, customer relations, operational oversight, business metrics, staff development support and P&L. They are involved in business development and contracts, along with team leadership initiatives and improvement projects.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in the business development process in RFQ responses, including solution concepts and design.
• Manages, coordinates, and implements cost – effective operational solutions to continuously improve efficiency and enhance service levels and quality.
• Maximizes productivity, quality, and service throughout operations by utilizing best practice techniques in the areas of facilities layout, methods, material handling concepts, technological enhancements, and measurements.
• Collaborate with internal Billing Department for reviewing weekly invoices and submit billing to customer.
• Creates, coordinates, monitors, and measures business plan objectives vs. actual results and reports to Executive Management and/or clients as required.
• Dispatching through KALARIS & TMW Software.
• Monitor drivers HOS through Samsara ELD systems.
• Dispatching through KALARIS & TMW Software.
• Performs driver scheduling, dispatching and load planning duties for company local, city and spotting drivers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

• 3 – 5+ years of management/supervisor experience preferred
• Previous experience with staff development, facility layout, multi-shift operations, project management and inventory management preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations or equivalent education/work experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools preferred
• Expert knowledge of warehouse management systems preferred
• Prior P&L exposure and transportation experience preferred
• Knowledge in CDL A rules and regulations.
