Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee daily private fleet operations at our Cincinnati, OH site. You will supervise drivers, manage schedules, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and on-time service aligned with budgets and KPIs.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, coordination with Safety and Maintenance, and collaboration with the District Transportation Manager to drive cost efficiencies and carrier performance improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory leadership experience.
• Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and Hours of Service regulations.
• Experience managing and dispatching drivers.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of transportation management software and SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct manager supervising drivers and ensures drivers are dispatched and return safely.
• Manage labor hours and consumables within budget.
• Prepare driver work schedules including extra workdays, overtime, and shift hours.
• Monitor driver performance and ensure on-time service levels.
• Review delivery functions and KPI reports to improve dispatch routing and truck utilization.
• Ensure driver routes are optimized and efficient.
