Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain, Business, Ag Business, or related degree program.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Self-starter with eagerness to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily truck shipments of CHS commodities using systems to meet delivery expectations.
• Identify opportunities with CHS private and third-party carriers to improve utilization and reduce costs.
• Use real-time shipment tracking to provide ETAs to internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate truck loading and unloading schedules.
• Perform routine logistics activities including reporting value achieved and customer service.
• Identify and resolve service level issues using root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain positive relationships with third-party carriers and CHS teams.
• Proactively communicate shipment issues to transportation management, including safety-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily truck shipments of CHS commodities utilizing systems/technology to meet our customer delivery expectations.
• Identify opportunities with CHS private truck fleet and third-party truck carriers to improve truck/driver utilization and create cost savings for CHS.
• Utilize real time shipment track/trace technology or systems to provide ETAs to customer service, sales and/or customers.
• Coordinate truck loading and unloading schedules.
• Perform routine logistical activities to include reporting value achieved, load updates, emails, and customer service.
• Identify and resolve service level issues utilizing root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve service to our customers and CHS.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with third party truck carriers as well as CHS customer service, sales, and other internal stakeholders.
• Proactively communicate and elevate shipment issues to CHS transportation management that will adversely impact CHS plant operations and/or customer delivery expectations inclusive of safety related issues (accidents, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain, Business, Ag Business, or other related degree program
• High School diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Self-starter and motivated to learn new systems and proficiencies

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
