Responsibilities

• Reconcile contracted freight payments.
• Perform routine logistical activities including reporting, updates, emails, and customer service.
• Identify and resolve service level issues using root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Build and maintain relationships with carrier operations, CHS customer service, sales, and other internal stakeholders.
• Maintain carrier information and pricing documents within Excel and ERP systems.
• Create presentations for business reviews and sourcing projects with internal stakeholders.

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Transportation division. We are seeking a Logistics Intern to join our team. You must be customer-focused with excellent communication skills, project management, and change management skills. Must have the ability to influence internal customers, build relationships, and lead change efforts.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile contracted freight payments.
• Perform routine logistical activities to include reporting, updates, emails, and customer service.
• Identify and resolve service level issues utilizing root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve service to our customers and CHS.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with carrier operations personnel as well as CHS customer service, sales, and other internal stakeholders.
• Maintain carrier information and pricing documents within Excel and specific ERP systems.
• Work directly with internal stakeholders to identify performance metrics and create presentations for business reviews and sourcing projects

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Currently enrolled in Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Business Economics, or Agribusiness
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Software.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Strong communication, data skills and time management skills.
• Self-starter and motivated to learn new systems and proficiencies

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
