Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Transportation, Maple Grove location, seeks a Transportation Materials Technician to manage purchasing, inventory, fixed assets, and contract administration for Mn/DOT materials.

Responsibilities include procurement, stock control, disposition, and disbursement of parts, supplies, equipment, and materials within the Materials Management Plan. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications and obtain ALP certificate within six months.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with MnDOT Materials Management System or equivalent Research & data analysis for purchasing decisions.
• Experience with automated inventory management systems is preferred.
• Ability to report to work within one hour when called.

Responsibilities

• Purchase and inventory management of Mn/DOT materials and commodities.
• Disbursement of parts, supplies, equipment, and materials per the Materials Management Plan.
• Contract administration, specification, disposal, and inventory control.
