Professional Analysis, Inc. is currently soliciting applications for the position of Transportation Manager, located in the Cherry Point, North Carolina area to serve on our Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Contract contingent on award.

The Transportation Manager will be fully knowledgeable in all Government and Commercial Traffic Management functions and processes. The candidate will oversee a freight terminal responsible for arranging transportation for all issue transactions.

Job Responsibilities

• Directs employees engaged in planning outbound shipping loads, scheduling movement of outbound shipments to include air, surface, small parcel, and sea IAW all applicable contracts.
• Complete required documentation and data entry functions to include Bills of Lading (BOLs), manifests and all other forms of transportation documentation.
• Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences IAW general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager and/or Alternate Site Manager.
• Redirect workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations.
• Conduct planning of current and future work schedules, providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as to the scheduling of projected work.
• Uses WMS and other Government Data Systems to perform the requirements in the PWS.

Required Qualifications

• Experience shall include a minimum three (3) years of experience in transportation using WMS or equivalent automated WMS within the past five (5) years.
• Experience with the Global Freight Management System.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
