Job description

Professional Analysis, Inc. is currently soliciting applications for the position of Security Specialist, located in the Cherry Point, North Carolina area to serve on our Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Contract contingent on award.

The Security Specialist will be responsible for managing the security program which includes program implementation, program evaluation, identifying and resolving security-related issues, and advising organizational leadership on appropriate Physical Security, Operational Security (OPSEC), and Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP). The Security Specialist will provide analytical advice to plan, or evaluate the implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting classified information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Initiate background checks on new candidates for employment and current employees.
  • Implement and maintain safeguards for handling classified information.
  • Manage document control for classified materials.
  • Enforce access control to classified areas, ensuring only authorized personnel have access.
  • Supervise the use of Information Security Systems (ISSM) for classified data.
  • Conduct regular self-inspections to ensure classified information is secured in compliance with contract and agency standards.
  • Oversee the implementation of physical security measures.
  • Ensure proper access control systems (badging, visitor control, and security checkpoints).
  • Manage security alarms, surveillance cameras, and security patrols.
  • Develop and maintain a Physical Security Plan (PSP) tailored to the contract requirements.
  • Oversee the background investigation process for employees requiring security clearances.
  • Maintain security clearance records in systems like Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
  • Ensure employees complete required initial, annual, and refresher security training.
  • Investigate and report security incidents, including unauthorized access attempts, loss or compromise of classified materials, insider threats, or security breaches.
  • Prepare and submit security incident reports to appropriate government authorities.
  • Conduct regular security briefings on classified document handling, counterintelligence awareness and insider threat detection, emergency procedures, and physical security protocols.
  • Develop and maintain a security education program to ensure personnel remain compliant with security requirements.

Required

  • Experience shall include a minimum of three (3) years of experience in Physical Security, Operational Security (OPSEC), and Antiterrorism/Force Protection within the past five (5) years.
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
