Clayton, a leading homebuilder in Alabama, is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee shipping and receiving, manage a driver team, and coordinate with carriers to keep freight moving efficiently.

You will control transportation costs, ensure on-time delivery, and develop the skills of team members while aligning operations with Clayton’s commitment to quality and customer experience.

This is a full-time role based on-site with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Transportation Manager oversees shipping and receiving operations — manages internal driver team, 3rd party carrier relationships, transportation costs, ensures freight moves reliably at competitive rates, and develops team members. Accountable for the performance of the transportation function: on-time delivery, cost per shipment, driver/carrier compliance, and the operational capability of the shipping/receiving team.
