Job summary

FSN (Freedom Search Network) is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee regional convenience-store distribution from the distribution center, directing a multi-temperature CDL driver fleet across the Mid-Atlantic.

You will manage dispatch, routing, DOT compliance, and safety programs, collaborating with warehouse teams to ensure on-time deliveries and product quality while maintaining load security.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in transportation, logistics, or fleet supervisory management.
• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration preferred.
• Experience managing telematics, on-board truck computers, and automated fleet management software (e.g. Tripmaster or Xata).
• Deep knowledge of local, state, and federal DOT compliance, vehicle inspections, and FMCSA safety requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and urgency to resolve delays or driver retention roadblocks.

Responsibilities

• Fleet Management: Oversee daily dispatch, multi-stop routing, and tracking for a regional private fleet of CDL and non-CDL trucks.
• Cold-Chain & Security: Use real-time temperature monitoring and video systems to ensure food safety and load security.
• Driver Performance: Supervise, train, and schedule drivers; monitor productivity to maintain delivery windows.
• Regulatory Compliance: Align with DOT/FMCsa rules, hours-of-service, ELDs, and fleet safety audits.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Coordinate with warehouse operations to streamline loading with conveyor and climate-controlled docks.

Transportation Manager: Oversees regional convenience store distribution out of the distribution center, directing a fleet of multi-temperature CDL drivers across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Key Responsibilities

• Fleet Management: Oversee daily dispatch, multi-stop routing, and tracking for a regional private fleet of CDL and non-CDL delivery trucks.
• Cold-Chain & Security: Leverage real-time computerized temperature monitoring and video systems installed on all company vehicles to ensure food safety and load security.
• Driver Performance: Supervise, train, and schedule a team of regional delivery drivers, monitoring productivity via on-board computer systems to maintain strict delivery windows.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain rigorous alignment with Department of Transportation (DOT) and FMCSA regulations, governing hours-of-service, electronic logging devices (ELDs), and fleet maintenance safety audits.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work directly with warehouse operations, using integrated conveyor, sortation, and climate-controlled dock workflows to streamline driver loading procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 4+ years of transportation, logistics, or fleet supervisory management experience, preferably in broadline food or grocery wholesale distribution.
• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration preferred.
• Technical Skills: Experience managing advanced telematics, on-board truck computers, and automated fleet management software (such as Tripmaster or Xata).
• Regulatory Mastery: Deep operational knowledge of local, state, and federal DOT compliance, vehicle inspections, and FMCSA safety requirements.
• Leadership Style: Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong sense of urgency to resolve delivery delays or driver retention roadblocks.
