HDR, a leader in engineering and architecture, seeks a Transportation Intern in Ohio. The role supports roadway design projects and provides real-world experience under the guidance of a Professional Engineer or Project Manager.

You will engage with mentors and peers through early-career programs while applying standard engineering methods. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an undergrad or grad civil engineering program, have detail orientation, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Preference for students with 2 years completed toward degree and a 3.0+ GPA.
• Familiarity with civil engineering software and tools.
• Local candidates preferred.

Responsabilités

• Gain real-world experience on transportation projects.
• Support roadway design projects of various sizes and scopes.
• Connect with recent graduates and leaders through mentoring programs.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures under supervision.
• Learn and perform assignments with software such as Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint effectively.
• Assist Lead Engineer in preparing permitting documents and drawings.
• Perform other duties as needed.
