Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Intern in Cincinnati, OH. You will gain real-world experience on transportation projects and support roadway design under the guidance of experienced professionals.

You will use Bentley OpenRoads Designer, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office to prepare documents and assist in permitting. Local candidates and active enrollment in civil engineering programs preferred.

• Utilize Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Assist Lead Engineer in preparing permitting documents and drawings.
• Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Transportation Intern, we'll count on you to:

• Gain real-world experience on exciting transportation projects
• Support roadway design projects of various sizes and scopes
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer or Project Manager
• Learn and perform assignments with software packages such as Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Autodesk Civil 3D
• Utilize Microsoft products such as word, excel, PowerPoint
• Assist Lead Engineer in preparation of permitting documents and drawings
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPAv
• enrolled in undergraduate or graduate civil engineering program
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Local candidates preferred

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program

• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
