Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or technical certification in civil engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, maintenance, or related field focusing on transportation infrastructure preferred.
• Excellent driving record
• Current valid driver's license
• Strong oral communication skills to interact with coworkers and diverse teams
• Basic writing skills to accurately complete reports and paperwork
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Proficient in using inspection tools and technology to produce detailed reports

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of maintenance work on roads, bridges, and transportation infrastructure.
• Verify that maintenance activities comply with FDOT specifications, standards, and safety regulations.
• Document inspection findings, including deficiencies, safety hazards, and repair needs.
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain inspection records.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address issues.
• Ensure safety protocols and environmental regulations are followed during maintenance work.
• Provide recommendations for improvements in maintenance practices and project execution.
