HDR is looking for a Transportation Hydraulics EIT/Coordinator to join our Transportation Business Group. You will develop skills in hydrology, hydraulics, drainage design, floodplain modeling, and bridge hydraulics while collaborating with seasoned engineers on a variety of transportation and water resources projects.

You will support planning and design of roadways, bridges, and water resources projects, perform hydrologic analyses, and prepare calculations, reports, and design docs.

Formación

• EIT certification or ability to obtain it.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an interest in hydrology, hydraulics, or water resources.
• Strong analytical, communication, and technical writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a collaborative team environment.
• Self-motivated to complete tasks and learn new skills.
• Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, GIS, OpenRoads, MicroStation, Civil 3D, MS Office Suite or similar software is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Support the planning and design of roadway, highway, bridge, transit, aviation, and water resources projects.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, including drainage design, stormwater management, floodplain modeling, bridge hydraulics, and scour evaluations.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, drainage maps, and design documentation.
• Develop plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates using BIM/CADD platforms.
• Assist with permitting and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Participate in site visits, field investigations, and drainage assessments.
• Support river and stream restoration, flood risk reduction, and watershed management projects.
• Collaborate with project engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions for municipal, state, and federal clients.
