Job Description

ESP Associates, Inc. is looking for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager to join our transportation team in Texas. This is an opportunity to continue to grow your career with a well-established, dynamic, and growing engineering, surveying, and planning firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Marketing our geotechnical engineering services to the transportation market in Texas
  • TXDOT experience including design-build projects
  • Effectively manage client base and client satisfaction
  • Prepare proposals and invoices
  • Manage field engineering and testing
  • Perform, write, and/or review engineering analyses, technical reports, and consultation on transportation projects
  • Interact and support other ESP operations with technical analysis, as necessary
  • Quality of all work operations and deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Professional Engineering License in Texas
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering on transportation projects
  • Must have experience with TXDOT geotechnical design including design-build projects sufficient to achieve prequalification with TXDOT
  • Displays strong technical skills including the performance of foundation analyses, settlement analysis, slope stability analysis, ground improvement techniques, and seismic and liquefaction analyses
  • Is results-oriented with excellent skills in organization, planning, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills with an outgoing personality
  • Displays strong leadership and personnel management skills
  • Is proactive in the advancement of business development
  • Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.
