Job summary

Arlington Independent School District Transportation is seeking a Support/Hourly role to assist in overseeing drivers and attendants across attendance zones, including routing, onboarding, and conflict management. The role acts as a liaison between campus administration, security, and transportation staff, supporting hiring and training processes.

The position requires a strong leadership mindset, excellent communication, and knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as a certified school bus driver.
• 2 years experience supervising employees preferred.
• Experience coordinating transportation operations and routing is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist Transportation Manager in oversight of drivers and attendants, based on attendance zones, including routing, onboarding, recruiting, and conflict management.
• Serve as liaison between campus administration, security, and driver/attendant.
• Support supervisory and operational efforts related to transportation of students, including regular, special education, and field trips.
• Assist in hiring, training, recruitment, retention, and professional development of drivers and attendants.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and stakeholders and respond to concerns to Transportation personnel.
