Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License and outstanding driving record.
• Must possess a valid Texas School Bus Driving Safety certificate.
• Must have an up to date medical physical.
• Analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate school bus on assigned routes per schedule.
• Take student attendance and ensure students board and depart safely.
• Maintain discipline and communicate with teachers/parents about behavior.
• Observe traffic laws and safety regulations for school buses.
• Perform safety checks and keep bus clean and fueled.
• Communicate with transportation office as needed.
• Be flexible with irregular hours and shifts.
