Qualifications

• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology or equivalent.
• Active driver’s license required.
• Experience interpreting highway construction plans.
• NCDOT certifications preferred (Concrete Field Technician, QMS Roadway Technician, Conventional Density Testing).
• 4+ years of construction inspection experience preferred.
• Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.

Responsibilities

• Inspect contractor operations on transportation projects to verify conformance to plans and specifications.
• Perform routine material testing.
• Measure and track quantities of pay items.
• Gather and maintain record documents including material certifications, testing reports, and diaries.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
