Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector II for its Transportation division to support roadway, bridge and transit construction in the Washington, DC Metro area. You will perform inspections, QA/QC, and lead on small projects, with frequent coordination with engineers, contractors, and agencies.

Minimum 2 years CM/CEI experience and ABET-aligned degree are required, along with multiple certifications and a valid driver's license. Travel to project sites is routine.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in CM or CEI with ABET-accredited degree.
• Must hold Concrete Field, Soil & Aggregate, Asphalt Field, Work Zone, OSHA 30 certifications.
• Willing to obtain additional VDOT/DEQ/NRC certifications within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor compliance with plans and specs.
• Ensure safety compliance on site.
• Check and verify layouts; read plans and specs.
• Perform QA/QC on on-site material testing.
• Prepare daily inspection reports.
• Lead inspector on small projects ($5M or less).
• Assist Project Manager and Resident Engineer with field tasks.
