Job summary

Richland Construction B is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Inspector/Supervisor to monitor highway and bridge projects for compliance with plans, specs and FHWA regulations.

The role includes notifying contractors of deficiencies, coordinating with the Resident Construction Engineer, supervising inspections, and preparing estimates and test samples while ensuring timely resolution of issues and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management.
One year of engineering or construction management work experience, or an approved acceptable equivalence.
Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Monitor highway and bridge construction for compliance with plans and specifications.
Notify contractor and RCE of deficiencies and verify resolutions.
Supervise inspections and ensure work meets contract specifications.
Prepare monthly and final estimates and plans worksheets for payment accuracy.
Inspect traffic control to ensure safety of workers and the motoring public.
Coach and train subordinate staff and manage performance documentation.
