Job summary

Centro-De-La-Familia-De-Utah is seeking an Assistant Transportation & Facilities Specialist to manage operations across Utah, Nevada, and Montana. You will assist the Transportation & Facilities Manager, ensuring safety, compliance with Head Start Act, and efficient transportation and facility management for Head Start programs.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma, CDL with school bus/passenger/air brake endorsements, and an interest in facility and transportation operations; some

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; some college coursework highly preferred.
• Previous experience in transportation or facilities management preferred; familiarity with federal guidelines is a plus.
• Class B CDL with school bus, passenger, and air brake endorsements required.

Responsibilities

• Support safety and compliance by implementing and overseeing safety and maintenance protocols for transportation and facilities.
• Conduct site visits, audits, inspections, and routine/unannounced checks to ensure safety and standards.
• Coordinate routes and monitor transportation needs using Traversa or similar software.
• Assist in locating new facilities, supporting major construction projects, and overseeing property improvements.
• Maintain emergency response plans and ensure proper CDL records; provide training support as needed.
