Job summary

Arizona Department of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Engineering Specialist in Flagstaff. The role involves reviewing plans, developing cost estimates, and delivering projects through the full lifecycle of district construction programs.

You will coordinate with staff, attend stakeholder meetings, and support rural/urban transportation initiatives. Qualified candidates will have Civil Engineering knowledge, ADOT standards familiarity, and strong written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Civil Engineering principles for state highway development, construction and maintenance.
• Understanding of ADOT standards, policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans and specifications; coordinate field reviews and project meetings.
• Prepare documents and reports for construction projects and programs.
• Represent the District at public and stakeholder meetings and coordinate with staff.
