Tennessee Department of Transportation in Chattanooga is seeking an Engineering Specialist to support Region 2 operations and maintenance. The role collaborates with Project Teams, TDOT Divisions, Regions, and contractors to ensure contract requirements are met.

Responsibilities include applying TDOT quality processes, assisting with CAP and consultant selection, and developing scopes of work. The position offers a path to advanced levels and contributes to TDOT’s mission in the state.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related field as specified.
• Experience planning, developing and/or constructing projects at varying levels.
• Familiarity with maintenance operations and Quality Assurance processes.

Responsabilités

• Assist in establishing direct relationships between quality and work outcomes with project leads.
• Integrate Quality Management into policies, procedures, and manuals for maintenance operations.
• Support consultant acquisition including CAP development and RFP processes.
• Lead scoping and collaboration with TDOT Environment, Maintenance, and Construction teams.
• Support emergency responses and development of work programs with accurate data.
• Foster collaboration in a matrix organization and maintain documentation.
