Job summary

I & S Group, Inc. (ISG) invites you to join our Transportation Engineering Internship in Sioux Falls, SD.

You’ll work with 800+ employee owners across disciplines, gaining hands-on experience while mentored through a structured professional development program.Applicants must be enrolled in a Civil Drafting or Civil Engineering program, familiar with AutoCAD, and capable of handling multiple projects with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 2- or 4-year Civil Drafting or Civil Engineering program.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent CAD tools.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

ISG is seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns to join our dynamic team for the summer. This internship program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in your specific engineering discipline while participating in a comprehensive professional development program.

Key Responsibilities

• Enrolled in a 2- or 4-year Civil Drafting or Civil Engineering program.
• Become familiar with and produce work using computer aided software programs such as AutoCAD.
• Be accountable to other members of the team to complete assigned tasks and recognize performance of other team members.
• Work on several projects at one time.
• Must have strong communication, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Professional Development Program

Throughout the summer, interns will take part in our professional development program designed to enhance their skills and home in on their strengths. This program includes:

• Bi-Weekly Workshops: Participate in sessions led by Kinzee Miest covering topics such as goal setting, elevating your strengths, and building confidence in a professional setting.
• Mentorship: Receive guidance and support from a dedicated mentor who will help you navigate your internship.
• Career Development: Gain insights into career paths and opportunities within the engineering field through coaching sessions with your team leaders.

• Housing stipends are provided to students who are required to relocate.
• Ability to start working towards your ESOP eligibility.
