Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern for summer 2027 in Knoxville, TN. You will support engineering assignments across transportation projects, gain exposure to real-world civil engineering work, and develop technical skills while exploring a career in the field.

Responsibilities include assisting in design and analysis of transportation infrastructure, preparing drawings and reports, and performing modeling and quantity take-offs under supervision.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Familiarity with Bentley or Autodesk software (MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and GIS preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of transportation infrastructure, including roadway, drainage, signing and pavement markings.
• Prepare engineering drawings, reports, technical memoranda, and specifications.
• Conduct transportation design and modeling, calculations, and material quantity take-offs.
• Participate in field investigations, data collection, and site inspections.
