Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in Knoxville, TN for the summer. You will support engineering assignments across planning, design, and construction of civil projects, gaining exposure to site development, stormwater design, and transportation systems.

The role offers mentorship from experienced engineers, exposure to real client projects, and opportunities for future entry-level roles based on performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or GIS is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and analysis of civil projects including roadways, drainage, utilities, and site development.
• Use CAD software to create plan sheets, details, and figures.
• Prepare specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Perform material take-offs and gather budget pricing from vendors.
• Review drawings and assist with quality checks.
• Conduct field inspections and data collection for design decisions.
• Support project teams in meetings and problem solving.
• Assist with project documentation, permitting packages, and memoranda.
